Flood damage does not give you a lot of options. Once water gets under your existing floor, the clock is ticking - and waiting only makes things worse. That is exactly the situation we walked into on this living room job.

Here is what we were working with: old flooring pulled up, subfloor exposed, and the kind of mess that water leaves behind. Not pretty. But that is the starting point on a lot of these jobs, and it is where good prep work separates a solid installation from one that causes problems later. We made sure the subfloor was clean and ready before a single plank went down.

We installed a light, wood-tone vinyl plank flooring throughout the entire living room. The color is warm but neutral - the kind of choice that works with a lot of furniture and does not box a homeowner in. It also photographs well, but more importantly, it holds up. Vinyl plank is one of the best options for spaces that have seen water damage because of how it handles moisture compared to traditional hardwood or carpet.

The finished space feels open and clean. The tall ceilings in this room really let the new floor breathe, and the continuous plank layout from the entry into the main living area ties everything together without any awkward transitions. Clean lines, solid footing, and no trace of what was there before.

Water damage is stressful, but getting your floors back does not have to be complicated. We handle the whole process - demo, prep, and installation - so you are not juggling multiple contractors trying to piece it together yourself.
